Welcome To High-Tech High-Touch

The Siemens Aera Open Bore MRI
The Siemens Aera provides higher resolution imaging, enabling our radiologists to get even more information so as to better diagnose patients. Ultra high density coils are combined with the highest channel configurations to achieve an entirely new level of speed and image quality. Many MRI studies can be completed with the patient’s head outside of the bore, reducing any feelings of claustrophobia.

Open Siemens Espree 1.5T MRI
Michigan Resonance Imaging’s Siemens Espree 1.5T MRI is an Open Bore system that gives patients greater comfort without compromising the quality of the MRI exam. In fact, it enables a higher level of image quality not possible before in an open MRI and is the first of its kind available in North Oakland County. The Espree MRI is located at our fixed MRI site at 355 Barclay Circle, Suite A, Rochester Hills, MI 48307.

The Siemens Avanto MRI 1.5T MRI
Michigan Resonance Imaging is pleased to announce the addition of a fixed 1.5 Tesla Siemens Avanto MRI at Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center. This addition provides fixed MRI imaging at the hospital seven days per week.

The Siemens Avanto MRI is a leader in MRI imaging advancements, including breast MRI, cardiac MRI and MRAs. On-site hospital scheduling is available in our MRI suite.

Three Tesla MRI at Barclay Circle Center in Rochester Hills
The Siemens Magnetom Trio 3.0 Tesla MRI scanner, with its parallel imaging computer system, enables our freestanding MRI center to offer superior medical diagnostic capabilities which, until recently, were only found in elite teaching hospitals and medical schools.

The 3T MRI has twice the field strength of most conventional MRI scanners, which typically operate at 1.5 tesla. The 3T’s strength can increase the imaging resolution by 16 times. Tesla is a unit of measure for magnetic field strength; three tesla is equivalent to 30,000 times the Earth’s magnetic field. The 3T MRI captures images with a level of detail, clarity and speed never before possible.

Some of the procedures that the 3T MRI system will particularly benefit include:

  • MR angiography
  • Neurological/brain imaging
  • Spine studies
  • Orthopedic – including elbow, wrist, hip, knee, foot and ankle
  • Prostate
  • Pelvis – male and female
  • Abdominal
  • Functional imaging, spectroscopy, and brain fiber tracking

Open Bore Benefits Include:

  • Reduced feelings of claustrophobia and the increased ability to complete the examination because most exams can be performed with the patient’s head resting outside of the equipment.
  • The MRI’s ability to accommodate large and obese patients – up to 550 pounds.
